White Caps and Cemetaries

I hope you can see the images I loaded because I kept getting error messages.

Yesterday, the last thing I wanted to do was be stuck in the house. It was gorgeous but my gosh the wind was so bad it made being outside too much to stand.

So I organized a bit some of the things I have been putting off and then decided to take a drive along the water to the animal shelter to donate a bag of new dog food I ended not giving my dog.

What a beautiful day! First I stopped off at the local cemetary. I am fascinated with cemetaries. It may sound weird, but I always wonder who they were and what their lives were like.

Then I stopped off at the “Spit” and my gosh the crazy wind I could barely snap a picture. But on the way there, the wildflowers (a.k.a. weeds) were in bloom with the mountains in the back drop, it was breathtaking and I had to pull over to snap a photo.

When I finally pulled into the shelter, they were closed! The NERVE! I guess they were having a meeting or something but darn.

It wasn’t a waisted trip though because I was able to get out of the house. Today it is another beautiful day and so far, no wind. I am hoping to dig around in the back yard.

Enjoy your day! ❤

Bound by Beauty

I came across a picture this morning I had taken years ago at the library while I was waiting for a client. Brilliant red red tulips. I remember at the time how I had to stop everything to capture the beauty of these flowers.

As I looked at this image, I had asked myself, my gosh, I love flowers and I love my home to be filled with fresh flowers. So why did I stop?

Good question, but I don’t know. I don’t know why I stopped. Flowers make me happy. The beach makes me happy. Drawing in charcoal makes me happy. I am bound by excuses without reasoning.

Not acceptable.

Live your moments through what brings you joy. If buying fresh flowers highlights my day, then dang it, I should buy fresh flowers! If the beach makes me happy then I should walk it more often. If I am mesmerized by the charcoal I smear across paper, then I need to find a place where I can get back into my artwork and not make a dusty mess all over the house and hear about it later. I should!

Not I should…I will.

I will.

Bring yourself joy and live in it.

Live in your joy!

Have a fantabulous Friday! 💋

What a Wonderful World

How often do you stop, and really take a moment to notice your surroundings? We get wrapped up so heavily in our lives with political vomit, bad news and routine. We tend to forget…rather not notice the small things right before our eyes.

How calming and majestic nature is! Whether you are boating, hiking or walking along the beach, take notice. I find those moments are most meditative in a world of organized chaos.
